LGBTQ+ Teens Too Young to Vote Organize Through Queer the Ballot for a Say in Their Future

Queer the Ballot, a youth-led nonpartisan campaign from Dear Queer Youth, is organizing LGBTQ+ teens who are too young to vote ahead of November's midterm elections. Started by five high school students, it includes more than 10 workshops, more than 200 civic toolkits, and a storytelling effort, aiming to reach more than 2,000 young people through schools, GSAs, libraries, and youth and LGBTQ+ centers. Organizers described peers shutting out politics and hope to turn resignation into action, with workshops listed from October 20.
