Sophie Cunningham Says Her Value Is “Not Always in the Stat Sheet” After The Athletic Called for the Fever to Move On

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said on her podcast No Hesitation that her value is “not always in the stat sheet,” responding to a recent The Athletic article arguing the Fever should part ways with her. The October 9 episode addressed the piece, which called her presence “too combustible” and noted she averages fewer than 8 points a game. Cunningham, who has drawn attention for anti-trans advocacy, also commented “Good work girls” on an October 14 XX-XY Athletics post about a Washington State high school protest.
