Jeremy Moss bids to become Michigan's first out LGBTQ+ member of Congress

Jeremy Moss, a Democratic state senator, is running against Republican Ethan Baker in the November 3 election for Michigan's 11th Congressional District and would become the state's first out LGBTQ+ member of Congress. Moss, who sponsored the 2023 expansion of Michigan's Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to cover sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, said Democrats should defend transgender people and support the Equality Act.
