Ted Cruz rants about ‘left-wing transgender witches’ who hate Donald Trump

Ted Cruz told Fox News that “if you’re a left-wing transgender witch, you hate Donald Trump” while discussing why US midterm polling is close on Saturday (October 17). The Texas senator appeared alongside Alaska senator Dan Sullivan and argued “left-wing” voters were “energised”. The remarks drew social media backlash mocking his focus on trans people as a political attack line.
