Asia Kate Dillon says they must return to service work as acting jobs dry up

Asia Kate Dillon said in an October 20 Instagram post that acting work has all but diminished for trans, nonbinary and gender nonconforming performers and that they need service work once more, sharing their food service résumé online. Dillon, known as Taylor Mason on Showtime's Billions, wrote that they had worked in food service since age 15 before pursuing acting full-time a decade ago. The post follows similar accounts from Laverne Cox, Trace Lysette, Jack Haven and Elliot Page of reduced acting opportunities.
