Hulu and Disney+ greenlight a Glee reboot from Ryan Murphy

Disney+ and Hulu have greenlit a streaming reboot of Glee, to be helmed by original series creator Ryan Murphy, according to Variety. Murphy said he has been in touch with around 10 original cast members, while Chris Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel, said he was not among them and would find returning difficult now that Naya Rivera is gone. The original Glee premiered on Fox in 2009 and ran six seasons until 2015, winning six Emmy Awards and 40 nominations, and its music still averages 4.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
