The 2026 Out100: Sonya Passi

Sonya Passi, founder of the feminist organization FreeFrom, is honored in the 2026 Out100 for her work helping survivors of abuse build economic freedom to leave abusive relationships. In August, FreeFrom received $2 million from Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival, to be invested directly into resources for survivors. Passi, who has worked toward a world free of gender-based violence since she was 16, says coming out was the hardest thing she has ever done.
