Warwick Davis Says He’s ‘Not Privy to JK Rowling Backlash’ After Joining HBO Harry Potter

Warwick Davis said he is “not really privy to a lot of the backlash” around HBO’s Harry Potter TV adaptation and JK Rowling’s views on gender identity, speaking to the Press Association at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards. Davis, returning as Professor Filius Flitwick, urged people to accept those who are different. The series, on which Rowling is an executive producer, has drawn criticism and boycott calls.
